The hottest Android phone, the world’s greatest city, and the world’s best Android blog. It all came together at Sprint’s Evo 4G party last night in New York, and we brought it to you live.
Missed it? Here’s a recap:
Live at the party | Pricing announced | Hands-on video | Voice-data demo | Video-chat demo
Let’s take a look at the fun stuff, after the break.
Partying with Sprint and the Evo 4G
Looks like we found the joint, huh? Hell’s Kitchen is a rather nice place on a spring afternoon.
What do you drink at a Sprint event? Why, a grapefruit “4G,” of course.
The stage where the demos went down.
Sprint CEO Dan Hesse broke the good news — the Evo 4G will be available June 4 for $199.
A lot of buzz words going on, and a lot of cheerleading the partnership between Disney (above) and Sprint with the launch of the Evo 4G. As part of the event, they screened “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.” (We didn’t watch it. Got some work done instead.)
We got a demo of the new version of YouTube that gives ultra-high quality videos when you’re connected to 4G. And it was pretty darn good.
Much of the night is spent mingling, meeting, eating and greeting.
Sprint throw pillow? Yes, please.
Another of the Evo 4G’s features: HDMI out. Here it’s powering one of two large flat-screens in the venue.
Want Evo 4G accessories? Hows about a car dock? It looks not unlike the dock for the Nexus One.
