More data for everyone, and a new $15 plan for the lowest end of the price table

U.S. Cellular’s shared data plans haven’t always been the best value out there, but they’re getting a bit more enticing after today’s upgrades in data allowances. Things break down pretty simply, with data buckets increasing at every price level:

  • $40 plan moves from 300MB to 1GB of data
  • $50 plan moves from 1GB to 2GB
  • $60 plan moves from 2GB to 3GB

At the same time, U.S. Cellular also introduced a new, lower plan with just 300MB of data for $15, a nice drop from the $40 plan that previously offered that amount of data. All of these plans offer unlimited talk and text as well, as is the industry standard for these kinds of shared data plans.

The plans go into effect for both new and existing customers automatically.
