We’re taking this one with a pretty big grain of salt, but word around the water cooler is that the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 — currently languishing with Android 1.6 — will get its upgrade to Android 2.1 in September. And on top of that, it’ll miraculously get multitouch, too, never mind the report that it’s supposed to be physically impossible due to a hardware limitation. We’re not getting too worked up over this as the X10 isn’t actually available in the United States. But for everyone else’s sake, let’s hope September brings some good news.
