$29 and a 2-year contract gets you an entry-level tablet today
Sprint has just announced that the ZTE Optik 2 tablet is now available for purchase through business sales for only $29 with an eligible upgrade or new line of service with a data plan. As one would imagine judging from the price tag this isn’t the highest spec’d tablet on the market, but it will be a 7 inch tablet that runs Android 4.1.2.
Under the hood you will find a 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage which can be upgraded through the micro-SD slot. To keep you going through the day they have thrown in a 4,000 mAh battery, and on the back there is a 5MP camera and the front camera comes in at 2MP.
As for the data options Sprint is offering some limited time offers on their Tablet Connection Plans. In addition to their standard offerings of 25MB for $5, 100MB for $10, 3GB of data for $34.99, 6GB of data for $49.99 or 12GB of data for $79.99 Sprint is featuring 2GB of data for only $15 which is a pretty good deal. Will you be headed to your local Sprint store to pick up one of these for yourself, or will you be passing this one up?
