Flagship device to launch with new voice control technology
ZTE has just announced its latest flagship phone, the Grand S II, which will be the first device from ZTE to run a new set of features they have been working on. The ZTE Grand S II will be the successor to the ZTE Grand S which was announced last year at CES.
Featuring a 5.5 inch 1080P display the Grand S II will be powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor and will launch running Android 4.3, Jelly Bean. Inside the device they have included a 3000 mAh battery which should be enough power to get you through the day, as well as 16GB of internal storage. On the back there will be a 13MP camera, and on the front of the device there is a 2MP front facing camera for your selfie needs.
In addition to a new device ZTE is bringing some pretty big software changes this year, and the Grand S II will be the first of their devices to feature them. A big focus for ZTE appears to be the ability to control your device while hands-free, and they are rolling out a number of features for this. From unlocking the device, to taking pictures and more, the new software will learn the voice of its owner and be able to react to simple commands to make your life easier.

LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ZTE, a top global handset manufacturer, today announced the debut of new voice control technology for easier hands-free operation of its latest smartphones. The upcoming Grand S II flagship smartphone is the latest evolution in ZTE’s high-end Grand Series line and it will be ZTE’s first implementation of the new technology, which will include voice recognition unlocking, voice photography and an upgraded ZTE My-drive assistant.

ZTE’s latest voice processing technology is exemplified in the Grand S II’s suite of voice control features. The voice recognition unlocking feature enables the Grand S II to recognize its owners’ voices and differentiate between them, and for its owners to unlock the phone with a simple voice command. Users will be able to command the Grand S II to snap a photo using voice photography, making it easier than ever to take group photos and “selfies.” Lastly, My-drive features a higher voice recognition rate, reducing distraction while driving and enabling users to more accurately receive calls, listen to messages and play music via voice commands. Also, “do not disturb” mode allows drivers to focus on the road and automatically send incoming calls into voice mail or automatically reply to texts.

With triple-MIC noise reduction for higher quality and clearer calls, users can expect the utmost in call performance in any environment. This model also features high-precision voice recording, Dolby sound effects and a professional BOX speaker to round out the sensational audio experience.
