Moto G If you’re looking to get the new Moto G — be sure to check out our quick-look video — on Verizon when it’s available here in the U.S. in early 2014, it looks like you’re going to have to go prepaid to do it.

The official VZWNews Twitter account this morning confirmed as such.

The move to prepaid isn’t overly surprising, given that Verizon has led the push for LTE data in the U.S. (though it did recently admit things are tough in metro areas) — and the sub-$200 Moto G is a decidedly non-LTE device.

Again, nothing more specific than early in the first quarter, though Moto today at its even in Brazil said to expect Moto G in the U.S. in January.
