Microsoft has made it so Cortana will work just fine with both an Android handset and the company’s Band 2 wearable. Thanks to the latest Microsoft Health app update, there’s now full Cortana integration with Android when you’re rocking a Band 2.
Unfortunately, as noted in Engadget’s coverage of the update, this new feature only appears to function in the U.S. It’s also required to have Cortana installed on your Android smartphone before she’ll be able to take commands from the Band. According to the official log of changes:
“With Cortana on your Band, you can access your personal assistant for instant notifications of important events, communications, and voice-active info without reaching for your phone. Speak into the mic on your Band to Cortana to take actions for you.”
