The more robust Samsung Galaxy S7 Active hits AT&T on June 10

It’s a Galaxy S7 that you’ll have to really try to destroy.

You knew it was coming. Where there’s a Samsung Galaxy S7, an “Active” model is sure to follow. And as has been the case for previous iterations, the Galaxy S7 Active is an AT&T exclusive. It’ll be available starting June 10 in three colors — “sandy gold,” “titanium gray” and “camo green.”

The GS7 Active essentially is the Galaxy S7 in a more robust shell. Both feature the same IP68 rating for water resistance, but the GS7 Active also sports the MIL STD-810G standard. So while it’s not quite rugged (though we’ve used that term once or twice in our testing of this phone) it’s definitely more robust and should survive any sort of your typical drop. It’s also got the same display (though more shatter-proof), same camera, same internal specs. (And that includes the fingerprint sensor and microSD card.)

We’ve already taken the Galaxy S7 Active for a spin, so be sure to check out our complete review.

The GS7 Active will run you $26.50 a month on a 30-month AT&T Next plan, or $33.31 a month on AT&T Next Every Year, which spans 24 months. That works out to about $800 total over the lifetime of the plans.

To sweeten the deal, AT&T’s also offering:

  • A Gear S2 smartwatch for free
  • A Samsung Galaxy Tab E tablet for 99 cents
  • Get up to $695 in bill credits over 30 months
