In a bid to help presenters more easily connect with their audiences, Google Slides has received a new Q&A feature that encourages audience participation. With Q&A, audience members can easily submit questions during a presentation, and then vote on which questions they’d like answered most. Curious? You can get a look at the feature in action in the video below.
Getting started is pretty simple: presenters can give audience members a short URL that will lead them to a page where they can easily submit questions and vote on others. Once the presentation is over, the presenter can pull up the list of questions on their device and start answering. And if you’re overwhelmed, you can easily sort the questions based on audience votes.
In addition, Google says it has rolled out a couple of other, more minor updates for Slides as well. From Google:
-
You can now present your slides to a Hangout from your iPhone or iPad. So with just your phone or tablet and the Slides app, you can present to any screen using Chromecast, AirPlay or Hangouts.
-
And for those of you who like presenting from a computer, we’re introducing a new laser pointer on the web. Just in time for May the 4th (be with you).
Google says that the updates are currently in the process of rolling out globally on both Android and iOS.
