What goes into a fancy smartphone with a fancy camera? A lot of little parts.

At long last the ASUS ZenFone Zoom, is official. We’ve held it in our hands and marveled at the periscope-style 10-element zoom lens, and now we finally know what’s going on with this phone inside and out.

Powered by an Intel Atom processor, the real star of the ZenFone Zoom is the camera, with a 3x optical zooming lens set under a large circular hump. The phone itself was announced almost exactly one year ago at CES 2015 and is finally going on sale in the second quarter of 2015.

But enough of that — let’s talk specs:

All-told, the ZenFone Zoom has a lot in common with its ASUS ZenFone 2 stablemate, including the 5.5-inch 1080p display, and Intel Atom processor. It’s really the camera that differentiates the ZenFone Zoom; there’s really nothing else out there like that.
