Honor Band Z1

New Huawei wearable launching January for $79.99

CES 2016

As Huawei’s Honor brand officially launches in the U.S. today, there’s a new wearable launching alongside the Honor 5X smartphone. The Honor Band Z1 — available in Europe and Asia since the fall — will arrive in the U.S.

For the uninitiated, the Honor Band Z1 is a small, lightweight wearable with fitness and sleep tracking capabilities, as well as notification alerts. The band runs a low-powered Cortex M4 processor and uses a 128×128-resolution PMOLED display, and as such can squeeze 4 days of use out of its mere 70mAh battery.

That’s all wrapped up in a circular stainless steel body with a choice of three straps — black, white or cream. And the device is waterproof, rated IP68. So it’s a decent overall package considering the relatively low price — the Honor Band Z1 will be available on Huawei’s HiHonor.com later this month for $79.99.
