Republic Wireless is beginning to soak test the Android 5.1 update for the Moto X 2013. The carrier will be pushing the update to 5,000 devices to test the waters and see what issues may arise. This update, which carries the system version of 222.21.15.ghost_row.RepublicWireless.en.US sprint, is pushing out today. In addition to the Android 5.1 changes that Motorola outlined, this update also includes a few more fixes. Those include:
- Fix for the delayed dialing condition (requires Republic and Telephony app v. 2.1)
- Fix for calls going straight to voicemail.
- Fix for MMS Error: “Unfortunately Messaging App Has Stopped.”
- Republic Health and WellnessBuild Number: LPA23.12.39-R-15
If all goes well with the soak test, Republic Wireless will begin a full roll out on January 20. Should you be a Republic Wireless customer sporting the 2013 Moto X, you’ll want to keep an eye on your phone for the update to arrive.
