CES 2016

Acer wants to sell an Android tablet to the family crowd with the introduction of the Iconia One 8. Revealed as part of its CES 2016 product announcements, the 8-inch tablet will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box

The tablet will include a MediaTek quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 5MP rear camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera. Acer added:

The Iconia One 8 (B1-850) ships preloaded with Kids Center, an app featuring a simplified child-friendly user interface, and pre-screened content appropriate for children, including videos, games, books, and websites. It also features parental control features such as blocking access to unapproved content, pre-selecting content for children, or even setting a daily time limit for using the tablet.

The Acer Iconia One 8 will go on sale in February in the U.S. for $99.99 and in Europe for €129.
