Acer wants to sell an Android tablet to the family crowd with the introduction of the Iconia One 8. Revealed as part of its CES 2016 product announcements, the 8-inch tablet will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box
The tablet will include a MediaTek quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 5MP rear camera, and a 2MP front-facing camera. Acer added:
The Iconia One 8 (B1-850) ships preloaded with Kids Center, an app featuring a simplified child-friendly user interface, and pre-screened content appropriate for children, including videos, games, books, and websites. It also features parental control features such as blocking access to unapproved content, pre-selecting content for children, or even setting a daily time limit for using the tablet.
The Acer Iconia One 8 will go on sale in February in the U.S. for $99.99 and in Europe for €129.
