Google has announced that Google Play Music’s free, ad-supported radio streaming is now available in Canada. With this expansion, Canadian users can now join their U.S. brethren in streaming Google Play Music playlists without a subscription to the service.

This follows news from earlier today that Google will shut down Songza on January 31, 2016, with a goal of transitioning users to Google Play Music. After its acquisition of Songza in mid-2014, Google integrated the service’s curated, mood-based playlist features into Google Play Music, before opening them up more widely when ad-supported radio launched in the U.S. earlier this year.
