The Mi 4 and Mi Note are set to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update shortly, according to Xiaomi’s operations manager. In a post on Weibo, he suggested that a closed beta would be made available initially, which will be followed by a wider rollout.
The post also mentions that there will not be an increment in the MIUI version, which means that we’ll likely see MIUI 7 atop Android 6.0. As for a successor to the Mi 4, the latest rumors suggest that Xiaomi will unveil the Snapdragon 820-toting Mi 5 sometime in February.
