Samsung’s Galaxy J5 and J7 are excellent entry-level handsets, offering a decent mix of performance and affordability. The South Korean vendor is now expanding its offerings in the series with the Galaxy J3, which just launched in China.
Available on China Telecom, the Galaxy J3 is very similar to the recently-unveiled Galaxy On5 in terms of specs. The phone comes with a 5-inch 720p display — a Super AMOLED offering to the On5’s LCD, 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory, 8MP camera, 5MP front shooter, LTE connectivity, a 2,600mAh battery and Android 5.1.1 out of the box.
Essentially, the phone is the Galaxy on5 with a Super AMOLED display. No mention of international availability yet, but seeing as how Samsung is promoting the Galaxy J series in India as well, the handset may launch in the country in due course of time.
