If you’re a frequent American Airlines flyer, the your mobile experience just got a little more pleasant. The airline has updated its Android app with an all new look, interactive terminal maps, and more. Here’s the full breakdown of what’s new:
- Interactive terminal maps for 10 major airports. Find your gate, baggage claim, shops/restaurants or Admirals Club®.
- Updated with new look and feel
- Find an Admirals Club® from the home screen
- Elite members can request 500-mile upgrades on eligible segments and purchase 500-mile upgrades from My Account
- More upgrade opportunities available for purchase based on eligibility and availability
- Upgrade List available for eligible regional carriers within 4 hrs of departure
- Bug fixes
Overall, the updated interface looks pretty great, and some of the new features will come in handy. Unfortunately, American Airlines still pops you out to its mobile website in order to book flights or change seats, which is, quite frankly, ridiculous.
