The Amazon Echo connected speaker will soon be available to purchase at many more retail store locations in the US. Amazon revealed today that the Echo will be sold at select locations from The Home Depot, Staples, Sears, Brookstone, RadioShack, Fred Meyer, P.C. Richard & Son, and more stores.
Besides Amazon itself, the only other place to purchase the Echo speaker was on Staples’ website. Apparently that experiment was successful:
“Staples.com launched Amazon Echo several months ago and the product has been well received by our customers,” said Eric Cayton, VP Technology at Staples. “We are excited to continue to work with Amazon to offer Echo in select Staples retail stores and on Staples.com during the holiday season.”
