Don’t want to upgrade to Windows 10? Stop update to Windows 10 from your old Windows via the following steps.

Microsoft Developers had put their heart and soul into creating one of the most well rounded of all Windows. In doing so, they did manage to create a beautiful OS with many exciting features such as the ability to make invisible folders etc. They hoped that exclusive Windows 10 features such as Cortana, Microsoft Edge sync and find my device would win the hearts of the masses but were they successful in doing so? Probably not.

What caused the users to scratch their heads? The answer lies within how badly Windows 10 has performed on different PCs. Nobody dared to complain about its catchy UI but when it came to how did it perform, users around the world moaned and groaned in disapproval. Heads moved from left to right and from right to left in disapproval of the new OS. Users complained of numerous bugs and features not present in Windows 10 that were unanimously applauded before.

They argued that instead of the new OS being more accessible and easy to use, it had become more cumbersome and draining on our computer’s architecture. I fully agree to that as being a Windows 10 power user myself, I have personally experienced these pestering traits myself. This has led to many users wanting to not upgrade to Windows 10 but can they be forced into upgrading to Windows 10?

Apparently Microsoft has applied an automatic tweak to all Windows that a user might be using to automatically download Windows 10 in the background. While you have to approve its installation, the downloading which can be as big as 3 to 4 GB can be bad for your bandwidth while it also eats some hard disk space. If you don’t want that to happen, read on after the jump.

GWX Control Panel is a freeware developed by a developer who hated the idea of automatic Windows 10 download. To stop update to Windows 10, follow the procedure below.
