Gog.com launched its Winter 2017 Sale yesterday with huge discounts, a freebie for everyone, and new deals every day.
The freebie is Grim Fandango Remastered. You can add it to your account free of charge the next 27 hours. It is a remake of the classic LucasArts adventure game Grim Fandango which many believe is one of the best adventure games ever released.
You can get another game for free if you spend at least $15 during the sale, and another if you spend at least $40. Hard West is the reward for spending at least $15 during the sale. It is a turn based strategy game that plays in the wild west. Master of Orion is a new version of the popular space 4x game, and it is added to the account automatically if you spend at least $40 in the sale.
Gog states on its start page that the Winter Sale has more than 900 items discounted by up to 90%. The sale runs until December 26, 2017.
Here is my top games that you may want to check out (let me know if you recommend another game):

Lots of classic games are discounted besides those mentioned already. You will find only a handful of modern games, games from the Witcher series for instance, on Gog though. So, what you get are mostly classic PC games and independent games. These games may not look as stunning as the latest triple A game, but they often make it more than up when it comes to gameplay in my opinion.
Closing Words
The Gog Winter 2017 sale is ideal for buying classic PC games for just a few bucks each, especially if you want to replay games that you played in your childhood, or want to play games that “the old ones” are talking about enthusiastically all the time.
