Smart speakers are now the kings of consumer technology, according to a new report from Canalys. The research firm posits that smart speakers have become the fastest growing consumer technology in recent times, surpassing market share gains of AR, VR and even wearables.
This year, smart speaker shipments in the US are expected to reach 38.4 million units. Worldwide, that number climbs to 56.3 million.
