Smaller Canadian carrier lifts lid on Google and LG’s next Nexus phone
Update: Unsurprisingly, the Wind pre-reg page has now been pulled.
Original post: The Nexus 5 leaks continue, and today it’s Canada’s Wind Mobile that’s let the cat out of the bag a little early. Wind’s newly-published pre-registration page shows the render we remember from earlier leaks, alongside a full spec sheet for the unannounced device.
There’s no guarantee that the spec sheet is 100 percent accurate, however it is an official carrier registration page, and what it’s saying lines up with previous Nexus 5 leaks. In any case, the short version is we’re dealing with a 4.95-inch 1080p display with Gorilla Glass 3, a Snapdragon 800 CPU, 2GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of storage and an 8-megapixel OIS (optical image stabilization) camera. You’ll find the longer version after the break.
We’re expecting things to become officially official with regards to the Nexus 5 and Android 4.4 KitKat towards the end of the week.
