Facebook Status Update Notifier

Update: The program has not been updated for quite some time and it appears that it is not working properly anymore because of this.

We suggest you try different notifiers instead. Facebook Notifier is a browser extension for Google Chrome that displays new likes, messages and notifications you have received on Facebook. Chrome users can install Fruumo Notifier as well which runs in the background even when Chrome is not open.

Firefox users can try Fastest Notifier for Facebook instead which offers similar functionality. Update end

Facebook users who want to check their Facebook account for new messages, pokes, friend requests or invites usually have to go to the Facebook website and login there to see the Facebook status updates.

Nowadays, they can use apps installed on mobile devices to do the same thing.

This does mean that they sometimes visit Facebook to find out that nothing has been updated. A Facebook status update notifier like Apjunction Notifications will make those visits a thing of the past.

It can also be helpful if you cannot log in to Facebook using your web browser or mobile application of choice for whatever reason.

The software program for the Windows operating system will display Facebook status updates right on the Windows desktop. It uses a semi-transparent window to display the unread messages, pokes, friend requests and invites.

The main application window offers additional options. It is from here for instance possible to update the Facebook status, look at personal information or see a summary of Facebook status notifications (which distinguishes between event and group invites which the transparent window does not).

The Facebook status notifier uses roughly 1.5 Megabytes with the transparent window open and the main application window minimized in the system tray. The software program requires the Microsoft .net Framework (not mentioned which version). It can be downloaded from the Google Code project website. (via To The PC).
