Amazon Prime is getting a pretty enticing price cut tomorrow, with a year of the premium subscription service available for for $79, down from $99. The deal is available to first time subscribers only, and will be up for grabs just tomorrow, Friday November 18th, from 12am ET until 11:59pm PT. The UK has a similar price cut available right now, with a year’s subscription going for £59 (down from £79).

The promotion coincides with the launch of The Grand Tour — Amazon’s original motoring show starring Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. The Grand Tour‘s first episode will be available to watch in the UK, US, Germany, Austria, and Japan this Friday, and will premiere in 200 other countries and territories in December. This is a major expansion of Amazon’s streaming video service, but it’s not clear at the moment how exactly the show will be accessed and whether a full Prime subscription will be required.

The Grand Tour may certainly attract some new Prime customers, but it’s only one of a number of benefits of the service, which also include unlimited photo storage and, of course, free one day shipping on many items. It’s this last point which is a good reason to consider signing up for the service tomorrow if you haven’t already. After all, with Christmas just around the corner and Black Friday deals coming up, if you think you’re likely to spend more than $79 in shipping charges from Amazon in the next year, Prime will end up paying for itself pretty quickly.
