We got to poking around inside the Pixel C, Google’s brand-spanking-new Android convertible tablet, and figured out why it’s so hawt. Dragons.
Each and every device has one or more code names for the board inside and the unit itself. You’ve probably seen people use words like Flounder for the Nexus 9, or Hammerhead for the Nexus 5. We found three different code words for the Pixel C and its innards:
- Dragon is the board name
- Smaug is the bootloader version
- Ryu is the software build
That’s awesome on more than one level to a Tolkien and GoT fan like me.
