The Obi Worldphone SF1 is now available for purchase in India for ₹11,999. The handset is designed by Ammunition, a San Francisco-based studio founded by the former head of industrial design at Apple.
The phone offers a 5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 615 SoC, micro-SD slot, 13MP camera, 5MP front shooter, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-SIM dual-LTE connectivity, and a 3,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 1.0. On the software front, you get Obi’s custom Lifespeed UI atop Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.
The Worldphone SF1 is offered in two variants: a model with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal memory for ₹11,999, and a version with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage that retails for ₹13,999. Obi has mentioned that the device has clocked over 75,000 registrations for the first sale, and that the first batch of devices are already sold out. The second batch is due starting December 14.
