After launching the handset in the Indian market earlier this month, HTC has commenced sales of the One A9. The phone will be available for purchase exclusively on Snapdeal from December 15 for ₹29,990 ($448).
Featuring an aluminium chassis, a fingerprint sensor and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, the One A9 gets a lot of things right. As a refresher, the phone offers a 5-inch Full HD screen backed by Gorilla Glass 3, Snapdragon 617 SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32GB internal memory, 13MP camera at the back, 4MP UltraPixel front camera, LTE connectivity and a 2,150mAh battery with Quick Charge 2.0 tech.
Affordable pricing in the country — which is lower than the $499 retail price in the U.S. — is the icing on the cake. HTC has mentioned that the Carbon Gray and Pearl Silver color variants of the One A9 will be available. When you look at the specs alone, there are lower-priced alternatives available, such as the OnePlus 2, but HTC’s handset wins out when it comes to overall refinement.
You’ll have to jump through a few hoops to get the handset through, as the retailer is going with a registration model. Starting 9:00 AM IST on December 9, you’ll be able to register for the One A9 on Snapdeal, and the handset itself will go on sale December 15.
