Tech startup looks to CyanogenMod to power their device
OnePlus, a new technology startup, has just announced they will be partnering CyanogenMod to bring the best custom Android experience to their devices. The OnePlus One will be the first device from OnePlus to launch running a specifically customized version of CyanogenMod that will take advantage of all the devices features.
With OnePlus’ vision of creating devices that feature premium and sleek designs along with high end performance, and CyanogenMod’s ability to release an amazing user experience the two companies are extremely excited for this device.
“What’s coming is one of the most popular mobile operating systems specifically developed for the best hardware, with a unique twist,” said Lau. “The smartphone industry is ripe for disruption, and 2014 should prove to be a huge year for the future of the market.”
As of right now both OnePlus and CyanogenMod are hoping to release the device in the first half of 2014 in select markets, with global availability to follow. Unfortunately there is no information at this time on pricing or any specific specs about the device hardware but we hope to find out more soon.
