EE has unveiled a new tablet called the Robin. This new product will enable kids to access content online, utilizing the 4G connectivity. What makes this tablet ideal for younger users is the array of parental controls available to effectively filter and manage exactly what children will be able to see and do on the device. The EE tablet will be priced at £129.99 SIM-free.
Pre-loaded with more than 40 games, education-based apps and ebooks, the Robin offers ample content out of the box. New content can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, so long as a parent has approved of said action. EE has even bundled in exclusive, free and unlimited access to interactive streaming app Hopster, so the little ones can enjoy their favorite TV shows.
As for specifications, the Robin runs on Android 5.1, has a quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage (with additional expansion support), 2MP camera, and a 7-inch display. You’ll be able to pick up the Robin on a pay monthly plan starting from £13 a month. As well as PAYG, the tablet itself is free for existing customers (or £29.99 if you’re new) on a £15 24-month contract, which includes 10GB of data.
The new tablet will launch on October 23, just in time for the holiday season.
