First off, I have to mention that this is a registry tweak, as long as you follow these steps to the letter, you will be fine. Else feel free to grab your nearest IT expert to handle these steps.

Let’s begin by running the registry service. Press Windows Key + R to bring up Run, and type in regedit.

Next, you will see the following dialog box. don’t let the enormity of it intimidate you, all you have to do is follow the path specified below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionMTCUVC

Once you reach CurrentVersion, you have to look for MTCUVC. This is something that may or may not be there for you, if you fall into the latter and lack it, making it yourself is simple. Just right click on CurrentVersion, choose New and create a Key. Name the Key, MTCUVC

Once the MTCUVC key is made, click on it and go to the right side of it, as shown below. Now again, choose New and create a DWORD (32-bit) Value.

You have to name this value EnableMtcUvc and leave its value as 0.

This is the final step needed for bringing Windows 7 Volume Slider in Windows 10.

Once you have saved the above key. The change should be immediate for you, otherwise you will have to restart or re-login. If done right, you will see the return of the Windows 7 Volume Slider in Windows 10!

The new volume slider in Windows 10 wasn’t really pleasing to look at, the return of the older Windows 7 volume slider in Windows 10 is truly a sight for sore eyes.
