Before it was killed, Popcorn Time was revered as the greatest free Movie / TV / Anime streaming app on a number of platforms; now Popcorn Time CE has risen from its ashes.

Popcorn Time, a phenomenal app that populated smartphones and the desktop. It allowed people to stream movies, TV Shows and other multimedia for free at the users convenience of time, device, etc. Around 2014, there was a signifcant battle between the creators of the popular app that lead to the eventual dissolution of the application, but the team was not deterred and are now hard at work on a new app called Butter.

While the team behind the original idea are out of the playing field for a while, Popcorn Time CE (Community Edition) is now up and running thanks to the loyal and gifted community around the popular app.

Popcorn Time CE: Familiar Looks, Some New Features

The app still has the familiar look and feel to it so that there is no adjusting to any unfamiliar territory. The app still has support for a built-in VPN software, but now requires the creation of an account, which of course is a given now in the modern day.

The app offers a great variety of content for every type of aficionado, The selection of anime with the tremendous offering of quality and quantity is definitely unmatched to any other app that currently exists.

Popcorn Time CE currently is available for download and installing on every major smartphone and OS, that currently exists, there are desktop apps for Windows, Linux, Mac and Smartphone applications for iOS and Android but sadly, not for Windows Phone users.
