See who made the best use of ‘lights’ this week
We’ve come to the conclusion of yet another successful photo contest, with plenty of entries to take a look at. We fortunately had the opportunity to give away prizes — in this case SOL Republic Jax headphones — three different winners this week, but there were plenty of great entries that followed the prompt “light” that weren’t picked to be highlighted here.

A great shot of the Eiffel Tower, even better considering it was done in such low light with just a Nexus 4. We love how the lights inside the tower dominate the shot when placed on a solid evening sky background. Stunning shot.

This one clearly had a little help from some post-processing (in this case Snapseed), but it gave this picture a warm and interesting feel to it. The scene is punctuated by the lights hanging above but also lights coming from the sides to brighten up the street. Great photo.

What a great shot of this hot air balloon getting heated up to take off. Excellent framing of the shot gives this picture just what it needed — symmetry. We hope you took advantage of the opportunity to take more pictures once you were up in the air! Awesome picture.
