Lesser-known Indian handset maker Swipe Technologies launched its latest entry-level offering, the Elite Plus. The phone sports an ergonomic arc design and a premium jaquard polycarbonate body with a metal frame around it.
The 5-inch Full HD smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 615 SoC and 2GB RAM, and packs in 16GB of internal storage that is expandable via a microSD card along with 100GB of cloud storage. That may not seem like a lot considering budget phones offer robust hardware these days, but when you consider its retail price of ₹6,999 ($104), the phone sounds like an enticing option.
Commenting on the launch, Shripal Gandhi, the founder of Swipe Technologies, said:
It has been endevour of Swipe to offer lower-cost feature-rich to the aspiring youth from tier-2 and tier-3 towns, thus contributing to true digitalization of India.
