You waited long enough, and now it’s here.

Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge users on a variety of Canadian carriers are noting that the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update is rolling out along with a February 2016 security patch.

After numerous delays, it appears that the first carriers to receive the update are SaskTel, Eastlink and Videotron, while customers on national carriers like Bell and Telus will have to wait an extra couple of days. No word on when the Rogers variant will receive the updates.

Users looking to avoid the over-the-air push can load up Samsung Smart Switch for Mac or PC to instantly install the update directly from a computer.

Have you received the Android 6.0.1 update for the Canadian Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge? Let us know in the comments!
