To celebrate its second birthday, OnePlus has announced that it will be officially launching a gold and white Champagne Edition of the OnePlus X in Europe, with other markets to follow. Sales start on Tuesday, December 22, with open orders on a first-come, first-served basis. Outside of the newly launched open order Tuesdays, those with invites will be able to snag the Champagne Edition OnePlus X at any time.
In addition to the new Champagne Edition OnePlus X, OnePlus founder Carl Pei reflected on the story of the company at great length, noting its goal to bring “consumers premium products at a disruptive price.” Pei goes on to promise that OnePlus will continue to march forward with that attitude into 2016, stating: “In 2016, there is no excuse for any part of OnePlus to not live up to, if not exceed, industry standards.”
