Samsung has announced the company will be adding Internet of Things support to the company’s 2016 smart TV lineup. All 2016 SUHD TVs will be capable of acting as a hub controller for the entire smart-connected home. Samsung will look to demonstrate at CES 2016 how the company’s future TVs will be integrated into the IoT ecosystem.

With the new sets, you’ll be able to connect a plethora of connected devices to the hub, including connected light bulbs, thermostats and more. It’s a neat feature that will surely please those who seek to reduce the number of hubs and apps required to effectively manage and control their smart home.

Samsung notes that while the functionality of SmartThings will be good to go on TVs at launch in 2016, the company will activate the tech as availability is expanded.
