Omate Rise

The Omate Rise is a new 3G-connected smartwatch, which is powered by Android. The product is to be exclusively available on Indiegogo for just 48 hours on December 7. The initial crowd-funding campaign will be a unique opportunity for early birds to show their support for the wearable, which will support 3G, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi.

Running Android 5.1 Lollipop, the smartwatch is more than just a companion product strapped to your wrist. You’ll be able to leave your smartphone at home and enjoy a more mobile experience. Tracking fitness, receiving calls, emails, social media notifications and more can all be achieved without needing to be paired to a handset.

As an added bonus, the Rise is also the world’s first 1 ATM water-resistant smartwatch with a carbon fiber bezel. Moving onto specifications, we’re looking at a dual-core 1.2 GHz ARM Cortex-A7 processor, as well as an ARM Mali-400 MP GPU. There’s a 1.3-inch touch-enabled display with a resolution of 360×360. 512MB of RAM joins 4GB of on-board storage.

So, why should you back the project early? You’ll enjoy a substantial discount, only paying $199 instead of $349. The special edition units will also come with a free Bluetooth heart-rate monitor and have serial numbers engraved on the back plate. As noted above, the campaign will run from Monday 7 to Wednesday 9. For more details on the smartwatch, be sure to visit the official website.
