Philips recently pushed out an upgrade for its Hue lighting system that locked out the ability for customers to use third-party bulbs, and people were outraged. After receiving tons of complaints, Philips has decided to reverse the upgrade, and bring back support for bulbs from other brands. That’s right, if you have non-Philips bulbs in your Hue system, they will work again as they did prior to the update.

While people were initially annoyed at the change from Philips, it’s great to see the company listen to user feedback and reverse the decision quickly to restore the peace.
