Motorola and Verizon showed off the new Droid Turbo 2 smartphone earlier this week, but that was released just for the US market. Now Motorola has officially announced the international version of the same phone, which will be sold under the Moto X Force label starting sometime in November.

The official announcement comes with a video showing off the Moto X Force’s new ShatterShield display technology in a funny but effective way. Motorola Mobility president Rich Osterloh, without saying a word, drops an iPhone and a Samsung phone so they hit a concrete floor. Both end up with cracked displays, but dropping the Moto X Force from the same height to the same floor shows no cracks or shatters.

As with the Droid Turbo 2, the Moto X Force will have a 5.4-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, an Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 21MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera and a battery that is supposed to last up to 48 hours on a single charge.

In the UK, the Moto X Force will go on sale in mid-November for £499 for the 32GB version and £534 for the 64GB version. Carphone Warehouse will also sell the phone on contracts with a £29.99 upfront cost at £32.00 per month on Vodafone.
