Samsung and Bell Canada have announced that the massive Samsung Galaxy View tablet will be coming to Canada exclusively through Bell. In Canada, the Galaxy View will come with Bell’s Fibe TV video straming app pre-installed, which offers video from over 300 channels, including both live and on-demand programming.
Both Bell and Samsung are positioning the Galaxy View as a TV replacement. They emphasize how good the 18.4-inch, 1080p display is for watching a lot of video, and highlighting features like the stereo speakers. Indeed, Samsung has made deals with a number of content companies to bring a lot of video content to the tablet.
Aside from the 18.4-inch display, the Samsung Galaxy View features a 1.6GHz octa-core processor, 32 or 64GB of internal storage with optional microSD card expansion, and 2GB of RAM. It will run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
The Galaxy View will come to Canada through Bell on November 19 for CA$699.
