A new Chromecast app has been unveiled, both for Android and iOS, offering a completely new design and focus around content discovery.

Google has introduced a brand new Chromecast app, both for Android and iOS. The app has been completely redesigned, and rather than focusing on device administration, it now centers around content discovery, making it easier to find things for you to watch.

The new Chromecast app is a single place to view all of your content, offering a hub for Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Google Play Movies, and more. The app only shows content from other apps already on your phone, and opens right into the appropriate app when selected. In addition to content, the app will also show you which apps on your phone are Chromecast-enabled The app will also dig into content in the play store, and show you which apps in Google Play are ready for Chromecast. Right now, this functionality is support by Netflix, HBO, Showtime, and Crackle, with support from more apps arriving over time.

There’s also a new Devices tab, which will let you manage and control Chromecasts remotely, including pause and play functionality. Any phone with the app on the Wi-Fi network can access controls.
