The Pocket Casts web player has received another update, this time enabling some new features. Included in the update, version 1.2, is a new share feature, a menu to do quick actions like download as well as some bug fixes. Here’s a break down of what’s new this time around:

  • Care. Bear. Hair. Mayor. Chair. All these things rhyme with share! Now you too can share your favourite episode about the bears with hear with the mayor who sits on his chair! You can do this with podcasts, and even the position you’re at in an episode too.
  • Added a menu to episodes where you can perform quick actions like download. Works best in Chrome because the other browsers get all excited and try to play the episodes.
  • We don’t want to admit there were bugs in the previous version, but if there were some of them are fixed in this version.

If you aren’t already using Pocket Casts on the web, now may be a good time to check it out. The player is free for 14 days, after which they charge a one-time $9 fee to continue enjoying the podcasts on the web. An added bonus for mobile users is that the web and mobile apps stay in sync, so you never have to lose your spot.
