One of Samsung’s Milk entertainment apps is being retired, just a year after it was launched. The company revealed today that its Milk Video app for its Android smartphones and tablets would see its support end on November 20.

Samsung quietly posted the news on the app’s page in the Google Play Store. The announcement did not offer a specific reason for this decision, but it did say that Samsung was still “committed to providing premium entertainment services”. Support for the older Milk Music app will continue.

The company first announced Milk Video in November 2014. Here’s how the company described the app at the time:

By understanding what consumers watch, who they choose to follow, who they like or repost as well as which videos are dismissed, Milk Video will deliver the content that is relevant for each user. In addition, users can follow friends, brands and other users within the app.

Samsung also signed deals with a number of content providers to offer up new or exclusive clips for Milk Video, including Condé Nast, Funny Or Die, Red Bull, Vevo and VICE.
