This weekend is New York Comic Con, which means there are a ton of trailers coming out for upcoming series, particularly those starring comic book characters. Stay tuned, because we’ll have plenty on the site, but we’ve also been seeing a bunch of other fun stuff, like recreations from Harry Potter and an Alexa version of Hal 9000. If you’re interested, you can follow along with the latest right here.

For now, check out nine trailers from this week below.

Rocketman

Sometimes you watch a trailer and you can just feel the money flowing into the box office, and my god, is this one of those times. That said, for as cheesy as this movie could be, it actually looks like they’re doing something interesting with the story of Elton John’s life. It comes out next summer.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

We finally have a full trailer for the She-Ra reboot, and it looks like a whole lot of fun — filled with gorgeous animation, serious stakes, but still plenty of time for the characters to goof around. The style here is just wonderful, and it looks like the show, as the title suggests, is going to be filled with interesting and empowered female characters. It comes out November 16th.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

So Venom isn’t exactly getting the best reviews, but it’s hard to see how Sony won’t have a winner with Into the Spider-Verse — and this latest trailer makes it look even more exciting, by colliding Miles Morales with a whole universe of Spider-people, including a washed up Peter Parker, Spider-Gwen, and… a pig. It comes out December 14th.

Vice

Adam McKay has brought some of his team from The Big Short back together for Vice, which looks to be an equally fun, painful, invigorating, and perpetually groan-inducing take on some events from the 2000s. My original description here was just going to be, “Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh,” because that was my only conveyable reaction after watching this trailer. The film comes out on Christmas.

Been So Long

Michaela Coel, of Black Mirror and a good many other British series, stars in this very modern take on a musical set in London, focused on a single mother and a charming guy who’s trying to move on after a conviction. Given the immense success of some recent Netflix romcoms, it’s easy to see this being another big movie for the service. It comes out October 26th.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

Here’s the first full trailer for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the Riverdale team’s reimagining of Sabrina the Teenage Witch. And it kind of looks amazing — fun, stylized, and surprisingly dark. It stars Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka, who is certainly on top of it when it comes to playing a character set in the ’60s. The first season debuts October 26th.

On the Basis of Sex

Here’s a new trailer for the biopic about Ruth Bader Ginsburg, which starts with her time at Harvard and moves on to the clever approach she took to get sexist laws off the books — by focusing on discrimination against men, in order to ensure equality for women. It comes out on Christmas.

Titans

Titans is one of the first big shows coming to DC’s streaming service. It’s a kind of dark adaptation of the Teen Titans series, and it looks like it’s being stylized in an interesting way, with the special effects intentionally taking on a look that plays up the comic book roots. It comes out October 12th, and it seems like DC already has high hopes that fans will enjoy it.

Cold War

Cold War is Poland’s absolutely gorgeous black-and-white submission to the Oscars for best foreign language film. It comes from Pawel Pawlikowski, who won he same award with another excellent black-and-white film, Ida, in 2015. This one looks dark, melancholy, and romantic, following a couple struggling to find happiness in 1950s Poland. It comes out December 21st.
